How much are tickets if bought in advance?

Adults: £17.50, Seniors/Children: £14.50,

Family: £50 (upto 5 persons, max 2 adults/seniors). Applicable to tickets purchased before 30 June 2010. Standard rate after this date.

How much are tickets on the day?

Adults: £19.50, Seniors/Children:£16, Family: £55

Are tickets valid for more than one day? NO – valid for day of purchase only

Can visitors take photographs and video footage on the ships? Yes, but this is always at the discretion of the ships Commanding Officer.
When does advance booking discounts finish for groups? Groups booking before 30 June 2010 will receive a 15% discount. After this date and on the day groups will receive a 10% discount.

Group prices on the day? Adult:£17.50/ Concessions: £14.50

How many in a group?

15 or more

Do carers get in free? Yes. Registered disabled persons are entitled to the concessionary rate. Carers are admitted free of charge.

Will the event be wheelchair accessible?

Mostly – However because Portsmouth Naval Base has only tidal berthing's access to ships will be restricted. Times will be published when they become available. Many parts of the Dockyard itself and aspects of the Heritage attractions are accessible by wheelchair. Portsmouth Historic Dockyard has a small number of wheelchairs available. These are issued on a first come, first served basis and cannot be booked in advance.

There is a satellite Shopmobility service available in the Visitor Centre providing motorised scooters and manual wheelchairs for the event.  These can only be used on the site during the event and there is a charge of £4.00 per scooter.  For further information telephone 023 9281 6973

   
Can I use my Portsmouth Historic Dockyard Annual admission ticket to gain entry?

No.
Can I use my season ticket to gain entry? If you have an Admiral Boarding Pass entry to Navy Days is Free. A 25% discounts is available (for upto four peopel) if you are a Captain Pass holder.
Can I use Tesco club card details against the cost of the ticket?

Not applicable.
How do I get there?

Entry through Victory Gate

By Road: Follow brown/AA signs from M27.

By Rail/Ferry: Disembark at Portsmouth Harbour Station. Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is located outside this station. For more information check our website.

When can I park?

There are a number of spaces in the Historic Dockyard car park and other car parks close by. We encourage people to use public transport wherever possible. Train and bus services operate to Portsmouth Harbour station/ The Hard Interchange, which is a two minute walk from the entrance.

What trains and buses are best to use?

Portsmouth Harbour is on the mainline from Waterloo. SouthWest Trains, Southern and Virgin run services into Portsmouth Harbour.

The Hard bus terminal is outside Victory Gate. Stagecoach, First and National Express operate services into The Hard.

Is Victory and the Mary Rose included on the ticket?

Yes – all Portsmouth Historic Dockyard’s attractions are with the exception of Harbour Tours.

Is Spinnaker Tower included on the ticket?

No.

Can I use my Naval Base pass to gain free entry? What discounts can my family get? Naval Base pass holders get in for free and they are entitled to a 25% discount for up to 4 guests - adult, child or senior only.

BAE Portsmouth personnel will get in free, but will be issued with a ticket, which they must present with their pass on the day.  They too will get 25% off for up to 4 - adult, child or senior only.

BAE non-Portsmouth Naval Base personnel should refer to their intranet for further information.

Service personnel in uniform will get free entry but no concessions for friends and family; service personnel not in uniform will get a child rate but no concession for their friends or family.

Do veterans or Naval Associations get a discount? Veteran & Naval Associations will get the group discount – 10% off if they bring 15 or more guests.

Can we go off site and come back in? Yes – there will be a pass out system, though all people who exit and re enter will have to go through security checks.

Will there be programmes and maps and will there be a charge for these? There will be a programme and map produced for a nominal fee.  The site will be well signposted.

What is the group discount?

If you have a group of 15 people or more please call our advance sales team on 023 9283 9766. A 15% discount on standard prices is available if you book your group before 30th June 2010. A 10% discount is available for groups booking after this date.
