Entrance to the Meet Your Navy event is through Victory Gate at the corner of Queen Street and The Hard (Historic Dockyard entrance).

All visitors are strongly advised to use the Park and Rail service which will be signed from the M27 or to travel by rail. Please visit the website for all the latest travel information.

By road: Join the M275 at Junction 12 of the M27 and follow the brown Historic Waterfront signs and Historic Dockyard signs.

By rail, bus, ferry from Gosport, or Fastcat from the Isle of Wight: Portsmouth Harbour Station/The Hard Interchange is 200 metres from the main entrance to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.

Accessibility Special Access to Attractions

Portsmouth Naval Base and Portsmouth Historic Dockyard welcomes all visitors. The site is, however, a working Naval Base and certain areas may present difficulties to visitors who use wheelchairs, with a restricted mobility or who are visually impaired. As a safety precaution, we ask that all these visitors are accompanied by a carer.

Wheelchairs are available free of charge from the Visitor Centre, Mary Rose, HMS Warrior 1860 and Royal Naval Museum.

Dogs

Photography and Media
Visitors can use flash cameras except in the Mary Rose Museum where light sensitive materials are on display.

No photography is allowed on board HMS Victory. At the Royal Naval Museum, no professional photography of any sort is allowed in the Museum galleries without the permission from the curatorial staff. Photography for personal reference is allowed but, to help preserve the collections on display, visitors are asked not to use flash photography. High quality reproductions of key items from the exhibitions are available as postcards and prints from the Museum's shops.

Dogs are not permitted into the Historic Dockyard, with the exception of guide and registered assistance dogs.
